Memory of Saint Daniel of Katounakia celebrated at the Metropolis of Derkoi

The memory of our Holy Father Saint Daniel of Katounakia was celebrated with due splendour and with the appropriate reverence in the Holy Metropolis of Derkoi and specifically in the Holy Church of Saint George of the Makrochorion Community.

On the eve of the feast, Vespers were celebrated, while on the main day of the feast the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated along with the blessing of the Five Loaves (Artoklasia) and was presided by His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, with His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi joining also in prayer.

During the Holy Services of the Feast, the Holy Icon and a piece from the Holy Relics of Saint Daniel were placed out for veneration by the faithful.
