Melbourne: The Feast Day of the Church of Saint Dimitrios, Prahran

On Friday and Saturday, 25 and 26 October 2024, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne presided over the celebratory feast day services for the Feast Day of Saint Dimitrios the Great Martyr and Myrrh-Bearer at the Church of St Dimitrios in Prahran, Melbourne. His Grace was joined by the clergy from the Diocese of Melbourne and Fr Kyriakos Peripetsakis from the Diocese of Chora.

During both the Vespers, where there was a dynamic presence of youth, and the Divine Liturgy, His Grace spoke to the large congregation about the life and great miracles of Saint Dimitrios. Bishop Kyriakos conveyed to all who were present the blessings and wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

For his part, the Parish Priest of the Church of Saint Dimitrios Prahran, Father Adamantios Kourabis, thanked the Bishop of Melbourne for his presence for the church’s feast day celebrations.
