Meeting of Archbishop of Australia with the High Commissioner of Cyprus in Australia

A meeting with the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus in Australia, Martha Mavrommatis, had on Monday, May 3, at the archbishop’s residence, Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere and there was an exchange of views on several issues of common interest, concerning Cyprus and the Greek Diaspora in Australia. Emphasis was placed on the recent talks aimed at the peaceful resolution of the Cyprus problem. Mavrommatis informed Archbishop Makarios about the results of the informal five-party conference held in Geneva under the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.

After the meeting, the Archbishop hosted a dinner at the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus in Australia.
