Holy Diocese of Chora: The Second Stanza of the Salutations to the Theotokos at the Parish-Community of the Holy Trinity, Footscray

With deep reverence and piety, the Service of the Second Stanza of the Salutations to the Most Holy Theotokos took place on Friday, 14 March 2025, at the Parish – Community of the Holy Trinity in Footscray, Melbourne, in the Holy Diocese of Chora. The Service was presided over by His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Chora, who conveyed to the congregation the paternal wishes and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

In his homily, His Grace referred to the decisive role of the Virgin Mary in the salvation of human kind, emphasising that “the Virgin Mary is the secret key that opens the gates of divine love.” He likened her relationship with the faithful to “a bridge between heaven and earth, which is not shaken by trials, but is strengthened through prayer and faith.”
