Holy Diocese of Chora: The celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Church of Our Lady ‘Axion Esti’, Northcote

With due ecclesiastical splendour, the Service of the Resurrection and the Resurrection Divine Liturgy were celebrated at the Archdiocesan Church of Our Lady “Axion Esti”, in the Holy Diocese of Chora, presided over by His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Chora.

During the Service, His Grace conveyed the paternal wishes and love of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, while instead of a sermon, His Eminence’s Paschal Encyclical was read.

The presence of a multitude of believers, of all ages, created a moving atmosphere, with feelings of joy, reverence and unity, reflecting the deep connection of the Orthodox people with the feast day of Pascha, the “festival of festivals and feast of feasts.”
