His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa visits the Catholic Archbishop of Brisbane

On Monday, 27 March 2023, His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa, Archiepiscopal Vicar of the District of Brisbane, upon invitation, visited the residence of the Catholic Archbishop of Brisbane, where in a cordial and fraternal atmosphere, he met with Archbishop Mark Coleridge.

His Grace Bishop Emilianos was warmly greeted by Archbishop Coleridge, who then led His Grace on a guided tour of the Archdiocesan House.

Following this, both Bishop Emilianos and Archbishop Mark discussed many issues of shared importance regarding the Christian Communities of Queensland, as well as the possibilities for common efforts in witness to the Christian Faith. In turn, they also discussed in depth, the spiritual treasures of the Christian Faith, from both the Eastern and Western Churches.

Prior to the conclusion of the fruitful meeting between the hierarchs, Archbishop Coleridge formally invited His Grace Bishop Emilianos to participate in the Queensland Heads of Churches council, where the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia will be formally represented.

His Grace Bishop Emilianos also conveyed to the Catholic Archbishop of Brisbane, the greetings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, and his prayer for a joyful and resplendent feast of Pascha.
