His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis meets with the Lord Mayor of Hobart
Yesterday, on the 21 March, 2022, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis visited Hobart Town Hall and met with the Lord Mayor of Hobart, Councillor Anna Reynolds.
His Grace was accompanied by Very Reverend Father Nicholas Bozikis and Reverend Father Dimitrios Katsis.
From the outset His Grace conveyed the love and best wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia. Moreover informed the the Lord Mayor that His Eminence will be arriving in Tasmania in June. His Grace invited the Lord Mayor to the various celebratory events.
Moreover His Grace discussed various projects with the Mayor such as the restoration of the church of Holy Trinity and the our two churches in Hobart assisting those in need.
His Grace thanked the Lord Mayor for her time and expressed his desire for the Council and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese to work together for the good of the community.
The Lord Mayor in return thanked His Grace and expressed her anticipation in meeting His Eminence, Archbishop Makarios of Australia, in June, during his planned Pastoral Visit to Tasmania.
His Grace then presented an icon of Christ to the Mayor with the wish that God grants her good health, strength and patience in her role.
