His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis meets Premier of Tasmania
On Friday morning, 18 March, 2022, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Canberra representing His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia whilst in Tasmania visited the Premier of Tasmania the Hon. Peter Gutwein. Accompanying His Grace was the Parish Priest of the church of Holy Trinity Hobart Fr Dimitrios Katsis.
His Grace thanked the Premier for the opportunity in meeting with him. He conveyed the love and best wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios and invited the Premier of Tasmania to the various celebratory events that will take place for when His Eminence will be visiting the State.
Moreover His Grace discussed the various restoration works that the heritage listed church of Holy Trinity will take place.
His Grace then gifted an icon of Christ with the prayer that God grants the Premier health and strength to serve the community.
In turn the Premier thanked His Grace for the visit and provided his support to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia. Moreover asked His Grace to convey his best wishes to His Eminence and expressed his desire to meet with him.
