His Eminence the former Metropolitan of Amaseia, Pavlos, falls asleep in the Lord
His Eminence Former Metropolitan Paul of Amaseia, who resided in the Holy See of Sweden for 40 years, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, February 16th.
The Holy Diocese of Sweden and all Scandinavia issued an announcement about the falling asleep of the Blessed Hierarch in the Lord, where, among other things, it is mentioned that His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas prayed for the rest of his soul at St. George’s Cathedral in Stockholm.

The Holy Metropolis of Sweden and all Scandinavia, with feelings of sadness, announces the death of the blessed former Metropolitan Paul of Amaseia, who for forty years happily guided the Holy Diocese of Sweden.
His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and all Scandinavia, as soon as he was informed of the death of his predecessor, Metropolitan Paul, informed the Holy Center of Orthodoxy, and then went to the Cathedral of St. George, in Stockholm, where he offered prayers for the rest of the soul of former Metropolitan Paul.
