GO Fellowship Melbourne hosts a talk on the formation of the New Testament
On 8 August 2024, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and under the guidance of His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne, GO Fellowship Melbourne continued its series of talks titled “Come and See, We Have Found Him” (John 1:45).
The evening featured special guest speakers, including His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne, Fr. Panagioti Zoumboulis, and Fr. Chris Dimolianis, who provided a comprehensive introduction to the topic. Attendees had the chance to ask questions to all the guest speakers, delving into topics related to the Bible, and the historical formation of the New Testament Canon.
His Grace Bishop Kyriakos emphasised the importance of reading the Gospel for the sake of our spiritual health.
The series, Come and See, will explore worship and life in the Orthodox Christian Church, with fortnightly talks every alternating Thursday at the parish of Sts Raphael, Nicholas and Irene in Bentleigh.
The purpose of this series of talks is to engage the faithful and seekers of our Christian faith in the beauty, meaning and symbolism of Orthodox Christian worship and how it unites heaven and earth.
