Forty-Day Memorial Service for Metropolitan Pavlos formerly of Amaseia
The Holy Metropolis of Sweden and All Scandinavia informs the faithful that the 40-day memorial service for the repose of the soul of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Pavlos formerly of Amaseia, who faithfully shepherded the Holy Metropolis of Sweden for forty years, will be held in the St. George Cathedral of Stockholm on Friday, March 25, 2022.
This memorial service for the late Hierarch will be officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia immediately following the Divine Liturgy and doxology, inasmuch as this marks the 39th day since Metropolitan Pavlos’ falling asleep in the Lord, and due to the fact that His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas had previously scheduled and booked airline tickets in association with two upcoming archpastoral visits; the first to the Orthodox Christian mission of the Transfiguration of Christ in Överkalix, Sweden from March 18-20, and the second to Oslo, Norway for the feast day of the Metropolitan Church located there, from March 25-27, where he will once again officiate a memorial service for the repose of the soul of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Pavlos on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
All those interested are invited to attend the Archieratical Divine Liturgy and memorial service for the late Metropolitan Pavlos on March 25th in Stockholm, or March 27th is Oslo.
