First full session of Church of Greece Holy Synod since pandemic held on Tuesday
A customary Divine Liturgy was held on the morning of Tuesday, 4 October 2022, to commence the session of the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece. Hierarchs of the Church of Greece, under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos, convened at the Petraki Monastery in Athens.
The Divine Liturgy was officiated by the most junior member of the Holy Synod, Metropolitan of Thira, Amorgos and the Isles, His Eminence Amphilochios.
Elsewhere, the Sacred and Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, chaired by Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, met on Tuesday morning, within the framework of its regular sessions for the month of October.
