Feast Day of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Eleftherotria in Aegina

Over the two days of Sunday and Monday, 27 and 28 October 2024, celebrations took place the Holy Monastery of Panagia Eleftherotria in Vathi, Aegina.

On Sunday evening, His Eminence Metropolitan Ephraim of Hydra, Spetses and Aegina, officiated and spoke at the Great Vespers Service, which took place with the participation of the Fathers and a large congregation.

On the morning of the main day of the feast, Monday, 28 October, Metropolitan Ephraim liturgised at the celebrating Holy Monastery and spoke to the numerous faithful believers, while he also conducted a Trisagion Memorial Service for the Heroes of the Epic of 1940 and thanked the Abbess, nun Nektaria, for the care of the Holy Monastery. A festive feast followed in the grounds of the Holy Monastery.
