Feast day of Nativity of Forerunner celebrated in splendorous manner at dedicated monastery on Crete

The Metropolitan of Rethymno & Avlopotamos, His Eminence Prodromos, tomorrow, Friday, celebrates his name day, as June 24 annually commemorates the feast day of the Nativity of the Forerunner, John the Baptist.

A great Archieratical Vespers was held this afternoon at the celebrating Holy Monastery of St. John Prodromos in Crete’s Rethymno prefecture. The service was officiated by His Eminence.

On Friday, an archieratical Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the monastery.
