Extensive fire damage at the Holy Church of Saints Anargiri in Oakleigh, Melbourne

Extensive material damage has been caused to the Holy Church of Saints Anargiri, in the Melbourne suburb of Oakleigh, as a result of a fire that occurred in the morning hours on Saturday,10 December 2022.

According to the first details, the fire, which was extinguished by the Fire and Rescue Services that rushed to the scene, started from the outside of the church and then extended to its interior. However, the investigation into the exact causes is ongoing by the relevant services.

It is estimated that the caused damages will not allow Holy Services to be held at the Holy Church of Saints Anargiri for a certain period of time.
