Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew expressed support for the Patriarch of Antioch amidst the crisis in Lebanon

On Thursday, 31 October 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, communicated via telephone with His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch.

He expressed the sympathy and support of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the events unfolding in Lebanon, wishing for a swift return to peace in the region and for the stability of the ancient Patriarchate.

The Patriarch of Antioch, with deep emotion, thanked the Ecumenical Patriarch and described the prevailing situation in Lebanon, which has already led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents from the country.
