Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiates at Divine Liturgy for Ukrainian-, Russian-speaking Orthodox faithful
The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Sunday paid a pastoral visit to the Diocese of the historic Marmara Sea port of Panormos, known today as Bandirma, where he met with the local Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking Orthodox faithful.
The Ecumenical Patriarch officiated at the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, which was held in a specially modified area of a local hotel, and following a relevant permit issued by local authorities, whom He thanked.
In his statements, His All Holiness reminded that the Ecumenical Patriarchate never distinguishes its flock based on national origin.
