Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Poland, to console refugees from Ukraine
At the official invitation of the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda and the Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland, Sawa, Patriarch Bartholomew I landed in Warsaw, Poland on Sunday.
He was accompanied by the Elder Metropolitan of Chalcedon, Emmanuel, and the Grand Syncellus of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Father Iakovos Krochak.
Together with Metropolitan Sawa, Patriarch Bartholomew will visit the growing number of temporary refugee shelters to bless, console, and spiritually strengthen the countless refugees taking asylum in the country following the outbreak of war in bordering Ukraine.
