Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew honoured 570 years since the founding of the Great School of the Nation

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended the festive event held on Thursday, 24 October 2024, at the Great School of the Nation, marking the 570th anniversary of its founding.

In his brief address, he extended his congratulations to the administration, teachers, and students, emphasising the Mother Church’s enduring commitment to the education of the Greek community in Constantinople and the Nation as a whole.

The event was attended by a representative of Turkey’s Minister of National Education, the Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, Konstantinos Koutras, and several other officials, community leaders, expatriates, and visitors from Greece.
