Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attends Greek Independence Day reception at Sismanoglio Megaron

On the occasion of Greek Independence Day, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended a formal reception at the Sismanoglio Megaron, the historic building that houses the Consulate-General of Greece in Constantinople.
The reception, held on the evening of 25 March, was hosted by His Excellency Mr. Konstantinos Koutras, Ambassador and Consul General of Greece in the City. Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew conveyed the congratulatory wishes of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Greek Orthodox community (Omogeneia) to Mr. Koutras, marking the national celebration with warm expressions of unity and shared heritage.
Earlier that morning, the Patriarchate was represented at the Consulate by the Grand Protosyncellus, Archimandrite Grigorios, who presided over the official Doxology and memorial service (Trisagion) held in honour of the day.
