Conclusion of the Week of prayer for Christian unity in Naples

On Saturday, 25 January 2025, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity concluded with a special ecumenical gathering held at the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady in Ponticelli, in the Naples region. The event was organised by the Provincial Council of Christian Churches of Campania.

The Orthodox Church was represented by His Grace Bishop George of Krateia and Dr. Elisavet Kalambouka, President of the Council. During the gathering, Bishop George conveyed the greetings and blessings of His Eminence Metropolitan Polykarpos of Italy. He also read a message from the Metropolitan dedicated to the Week of Prayer, emphasising the importance of unity among Christian communities.

The event marked a significant moment of fellowship and dialogue among diverse Christian traditions, reaffirming a shared commitment to unity and mutual understanding.
