Christmas at the Historic Psomathia of Constantinople

Christmas was celebrated in a joyful atmosphere in the historic Psomathia. On the morning of the Feast Day, the Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great was celebrated in the Holy Church of Panagia of those from Marmaras, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Silyvria, Supervisor of the Region of Ypsomathia.

The Choir chanted melodically under the guidance of Archon Mr. Panagiotis Tzanakos, Head Chanter of the District, as well as Mr. Stavros Kiosker, the Second Chanter.

After the Divine Liturgy, the Educational Association of Ypsomathia, under the care of the President Mr. Stylianos Gulgioun, hosted a festive lunch in the Community Hall. Officials, faithful from Psomathia and other areas of Constantinople were present during the Christmas meal.
