Cheesefare Sunday at the Church of the Archangels, Melbourne

On Cheesefare Sunday, 17 March 2024, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis liturgised at the Church of the Archangels, in the suburb of Mentone in Melbourne, and was joined in concelebration by His Grace Bishop Themistocles of Nicopolis, of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, along with Father Panagiotis Zoumboulis and Father Dimitrios Drougas.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis appropriately addressed the congregation and conveyed the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, as well as his wishes for a blessed Lent and a good spiritual struggle.

Among the faithful was Mr. Nicholas Archontonis, brother of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
