On Wednesday, 2 April 2025, Chargé d’Affaires Nancy VanHorn met with the newly enthroned Archbishop Ioannis of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania to convey her congratulations on his new role as leader of the Albanian Orthodox Community.

They discussed the critical role of faith communities and the importance of continuing Albania’s rich history of interfaith harmony.
