Blessing of the Waters in Batemans Bay, NSW

With the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios the Archepiscopal Vicar of Canberra His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis attended the church of St John in Batemans Bay 

His Grace was assisted by Reverend Father Iakovos Siriotis. During his sermon to the many young families His Grace emphasised the importance of nurturing our children in the proper orthodox ethos and phronema.

At the end of the service His Grace conducted the Agiasmo service and conveyed the love and best wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia 

After the service His Grace visited and blessed the local waters. Young Chrysostom from the Kogarah parish in Sydney retrieved the cross. A luncheon was then held at the church where His Grace had the opportunity to converse with the local people
