Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne liturgised at the Church of the Dormition of Our Lady in the town of Morwell

On Sunday, 24 August 2024, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne presided over the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Dormition of Our Lady in Morwell, Victoria, which is located 149 km east of the Diocese offices in Melbourne, a 1 hour and 30 minute drive away.

Joining His Grace in the service was the Parish Priest, Father Ioannis Adam, who graciously thanked him for his presence at the Divine Liturgy.

During the service, Bishop Kyriakos delivered a sermon based on the Gospel of the day. The sermon focused on the story of “Jesus walking on water.”

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne announced the upcoming Apostolic visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, while he also conveyed the blessings and wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
