Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne liturgised at the Church of the Dormition of Our Lady, Altona North

On the Sunday following the Feast Day of the Dormition of the Theotokos, 18 August 2024, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne officiated at the Matins Service and presided over the Divine Liturgy at the celebrating Church of the Dormition of Our Lady, in the suburb of Altona North in Melbourne.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace read the Message of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia for the Great Feast Day of the Dormition of the Theotokos, and analysed the message’s main points, conveying also the love and blessings of His Eminence to the congregation.

Joining His Grace was Parish Priest Father Demetrius Catrinei, who expressed his gratitude to His Grace for leading the Divine Liturgy at their parish.

After the liturgy the church hosted the Annual Festival which was attended by many faithful parishioners and visitors.
