Athens: The Feast of Christmas celebrated at the Church of Saint Nicholas, of the Ecumenical Patriarchate
On Wednesday, 25 December 2024, His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, conducted the feast day Divine Liturgy of Christmas, at the Church of Saint Nicholas, of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarchal Christmas message was read to the congregation which was followed by the chanting of the Polychronion (“Many Years”) of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
The Dean of the Theological School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Mr. Emmanuel Karageorgoudis, the President of the Theological Society of Halki, Professor Nikolaos Xexakis, the Archons Nikolaos Devletoglou, Christos Plega, Leonidas Tzonis and many faithful attended the Divine Liturgy.
