Archbishop Makarios of Australia meets with Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and Southern Madagascar

His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, had a cordial and fraternal meeting with His Grace Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and Southern Madagasca, at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese, in Sydney.

The two Hierarchs discussed current issues, with emphasis on issues concerning the course of Orthodoxy, while special mention was made of the missionary work carried out by the Second-Throne Patriarchate of Alexandria on the poor island country of Africa, Madagascar.

His Eminence Archbishop Makarios warmly congratulated the Missionary Bishop for his God-pleasing ministry, for the spirit of self-sacrifice with which he struggles under adverse circumstances, and for his devotion to the Church. Furthermore, he wished His Grace Bishop Prodromos health and strength to continue his blessed work without hindrance, expressing to him the undivided support of the Orthodox Church in Australia and its Christ-loving people.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of heartfelt wishes in anticipation of the Feast of Easter.
