Arcadia: Feast Day Vespers for Saint Theodora of Vasta at her holy pilgrimage site

On Tuesday evening, 10 September 2024, the Great Vespers on the occasion of the feast day of Saint Theodora the Virgin-Martyr of Vasta was celebrated with due splendour at her Holy Pilgrimage site in Arcadia, and was officiated by two Metropolitan, the local Shepherd, His Eminence Metropolitan Nikephoros of Gortyna and Megalopolis, and His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Chalkida.

Accompanying His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Chalkida, following the invitation of Metropolitan Nikephoros, were Archimandrite Father Christophoros (Papathanasiou), Father Nikolaos (Primikirios) and Deacon Stavros (Kalafatis).

Father Christophoros preached the Holy Sermon during the evening service, speaking about the fervour of the Saint’s faith and the example she grants to us all today.
