Adelaide: Paraklesis Service at St. George College, Therbarton
On Thursday 11 August 2022, St George College students from ELC to Year 12 attended the service of the Small Supplicatory Canon to the Most Holy Theotokos at the church of St George Church, Thebarton. The service was officiated by His Grace Bishop Silouan of Sinope with the co-celebration of Reverend Father Peter Photakis, Reverend Father Konstantinos Skoumbourdis and Reverend Father Jeremy Krieg.
Following the service of the Small Paraklesis, His Grace Bishop Silouan spoke about the Mother of God and the love that she has for all of us. His Grace also spoke about the importance of prayer and humility and that we can constantly thank God and ask for His forgiveness.
His Grace Bishop Silouan of Sinope conveyed the warm wishes and paternal love of our spiritual Father and Archbishop, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia. He also thanked the Principal Mr Karamoshos and the staff of the College for their tireless efforts and the students for their respectful behaviour.
