Adelaide: Norwood Ark Youth Group presents 900 Christmas Toy donations to the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the members of the dedicated Norwood Ark Youth Group of the Greek Orthodox Parish- Community of Prophet Elias, Norwood, along with our parish priest, Father John Choraitis once again have co-ordinated a successful Christmas Toy Donation program.

We were delighted and overwhelmed last year with our first attempt, to have received more than 600 new toys. This was the largest single donation ever received by the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, from one organisation.

This year, through the kindness and generosity of our parishioners and friends of our Parish, we exceeded last year’s amount and received donations of around 900 new toys for the Foundation.

These toys will help brighten up the lives of over 250 families bringing joy and comfort during this Christmas season.

Thank you for the overwhelming generosity of our parishioners and all our supporters who donated towards Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital Christmas toy donation program in 2024.

On behalf of the Greek Orthodox Community and Parish of Prophet Elias, of the Holy Diocese of Adelaide, we would also like to wish all those involved in this year’s wonderful Christmas Toy Donation Program all the very best for their invaluable work in supporting so many children and families over Christmas.
