A group of pilgrims visit the Metropolitan Church of Saint Paraskevi in Therapeia

On Sunday, 15 December 2024, a Divine Liturgy with Artoklasia (Blessing of the five loaves) was celebrated on the occasion of the feast day of Saint Eleftherios the Hieromartyr, which was presided over by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi.

This Divine Liturgy was attended by a group of pilgrims from Greece under the auspices of the Directors of Primary and Secondary Education of Western Thessaloniki, Mrs. Evangelia Moutsou and Mr. Christos Roupidis.

The group consisted of 350 educators from all over Greece, 32 students from four high schools of the Municipality of Oraiokastro, and members of the choir of the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Oraiokastro. The Deputy Mayor of Oraiokastro was also present.

Although the Metropolitan returned after midnight from his brief visit to Thessaloniki, he attended the aforementioned Divine Liturgy to honour the visitors for their pious pilgrimage.
