A Christological address by the Ecumenical Patriarch in Salerno, Italy
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, continuing his visit to cities in Italy, at the invitation of the local Church Authorities, held yesterday, Friday, 5 May 2023, a speech at the “Pope John Paul II” Metropolitan Seminary of Salerno, on the subject: “Christ the Great High Priest”, in the presence of His Eminence Archbishop of Salerno, Campagna, Acerno, Andrea Bellandi.
The Patriarch’s meeting with the Archbishop of Salerno took place in a fraternal and very cordial atmosphere and the Patriarchal speech was listened to with great attention.
The Ecumenical Patriarch had contacts with the local ecclesiastical authorities and with the young seminarians, to whom, in the speech he delivered, he reminded them of the importance of their mission: to be bathed in the light of the only, true, Eternal High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ.
