Memorial Service at the Church of Saint Nicholas, Neochori, Bosphorus

On the Second Sunday of Lent, 16 March 2025, the Matins and Divine Liturgy took place at the Church of Saint Nicholas in Neochori, and were presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, Patriarchal Supervisor of the Bosphorus District.

His Eminence was joined in concelebration by Hieromonk Ieronymos Sotirelis and the Patriarchal Deacon Photios Poulopoulos. Many parishioners prayed together, including members of the two Ephorate Committees of Neochori, the Archon Grand Hartofylax Mr. Panteleimon Vigas, as well as pilgrims from various parts of Constantinople.

After the Divine Liturgy, the established General Holy Memorial Service was held, for the repose of the souls of the venerable Hierarchs, Priests and Deacons and the late founders, great benefactors, benefactors, donors, members, dedicatees, trustees, educators, chanters, parishioners and in general all those who worked in the Community of Neochori and all the deceased Neochorites, wherever they may be in the world.

A reception followed in the Community Hall, where everyone, clergy and faithful people of God, were given the opportunity to communicate even more and spend valued time together.
