Patriarchal Trisagion for the Late Former Metropolitan Anthimos of Thessaloniki

On Thursday evening, 13 March 2025, following the Great Compline in the Patriarchal Church, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the Trisagion Service for the repose of the soul of the late Metropolitan Anthimos, former Metropolitan of Thessaloniki. His All-Holiness was joined by Hierarchs of the Throne, clergy of the Patriarchal Court and pilgrims from abroad, including groups of educators and students from Nea Penteli in Attica and Argolis, as well as a delegation of police officers from Karditsa and Trikala.

The Ecumenical Patriarch will be represented at the funeral of the late Hierarch by His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Vryoula.
