Farewell reception for the Zambian and Mozambican students travelling to Greece

His Eminence Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia on Tuesday, 21 January 2025, held a celebration which hosted the scholarship recipients under the Ministry of Education of Greece and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Zambia and Mozambique.

To those young men and women from Zambia and Mozambique was given the opportunity to study in Greece, a rare opportunity in order to broaden their horizons, utilise their skills and offer better services to the general society.

The event was graced by the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Education in Zambia who was Represented by Director of Human Resources in the ministry, the Consul General of Greece in Lusaka, the president of Hellenic Association, Greek Teachers, Professors from the University of Zambia, the media representatives and parents.

The children were advised to persue their career and work hard as they are the pioneers of their mother Country Zambia.

Finally, Metropolitan Ioannis encouraged them to work hard and and he stressed to the audience that that this pilot programe phase will have an another phase to empower more children to have this opportunity.

Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia wished the youth many blessings for their new begining.
