Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Synaxis of Saint John the Baptist at the Holy Monastery by the Jordan River

On Tuesday, 8th/21st January 2025, the feast of the Synaxis of the Holy Forerunner and Baptist John was celebrated at his Holy Monastery, situated to the west of the banks of the Jordan River, in its flow towards the Dead Sea. The service was presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Methodios of Tabor, with the hospitality of the Hegumen and renovator of the Monastery, Archimandrite Bartholomew.

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archimandrite Evdokimos, the Spiritual Father of the Holy Monastery of Saint Sabbas. The Archimandrites Claudius and Christodoulos concelebrated, the Lead Chanter, Deacon Eustathios Tsoumanis, and Monk Joseph chanted, and Nuns and pilgrims from Jerusalem and Jericho participated prayerfully.
