An Ecumenical Prayer Service at the Church of Panagia of Pera, Constantinople

Every year in January, a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity has been designated.

For 2025 the theme of the Ecumenical Prayer is: Do you believe this? (John 11:26).

On Saturday, 18 January 2025, at the Cathedral Church of the Archdiocese of Constantinople, the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple, Panagia of Pera, the Ecumenical Prayer Service was held, in which representatives of the Christian denominations and communities of Constantinople participated.

On behalf of the Eastern Orthodox, the prayer service was led by His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas of Forty Churches, Hierarchical Head of the renowned Community of Stavrodromi.
