Archimandrite Stephanos Nousis passes away
The Holy Monastery of Halki has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Archimandrite Stephanos Nousis. The late clergyman served the Church with unwavering dedication and spent the last years of his life in Halki, ministering to the liturgical needs of the faithful in the Princes’ Islands.
A 1967 graduate of the Theological School of Halki, Fr. Stephanos submitted a thesis titled “The Monastic Life in the Ancient Church of the First Four Centuries.” He departed this life after a prolonged illness, leaving behind a significant spiritual legacy.
The brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Halki expressed their heartfelt prayers, asking the Lord to grant rest to his soul in the tents of the righteous.
