Brisbane: The Feast Day of Epiphany at the Church of the Dormition of Our Lady, Mt Gravatt

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane, presided over the Great Feast Day of Holy Epiphany at the Church of the Dormition of Our Lady, in the Brisbane suburb of Mt Gravatt.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace conducted the Service of the Sanctification of the Waters, assisted by the Parish Priest, Father Nicholas Brown.

Addressing the congregation, Bishop Bartholomew conveyed the love and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, while emphasising the importance of spreading the Light of Christ to our fellow human beings through our thoughts and actions. “We must reflect the life of Christ,” he noted, “a life of mercy, compassion, humility, prayer and love.”
