The Feast Day of Saint Theophano the Empress was celebrated at the Phanar

On Monday, 16 December 2024, on the occasion of the Feast Day of Saint Theophano the Empress, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was joined in prayer, at the Venerable Patriarchal Church, during the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy which was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Anthimos of Alexandroupolis.

Present at the Divine Liturgy were the Hierarchs, His Eminence Metropolitan Stephanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos, His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, His Eminence Metropolitan Simeon of Fthiotis, His Eminence Metropolitan Ioakeim of Bursa, His Eminence Metropolitan Irinaios of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia, and His Eminence Metropolitan Adrianos of Halicarnassus, as well as Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the faithful of Constantinople and abroad.

On the day of the feast, as well as during the Great Vespers on the eve of the feast, which was officiated by His Eminence Metropolitab Ioakeim of Bursa, the holy relics of the Saint, which are kept in the Patriarchal Church, was brought out for veneration by the faithful.
