Romanian Orthodox Priest of Brisbane visits Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane
His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane received an impromptu visit from the recently appointed priest of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Brisbane, Father Michael Suciu.
Bishop Bartholomew and Father Michael had a fruitful discussion with His Grace discussing the recent visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Australia, a visit which further united the Christian flock of Australia.
Moreover, Bishop Bartholomew, on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, thanked His Grace Bishop Michael of the Romanian Orthodox Church of Australia for his participation in both the Patriarchal Divine Liturgies as well as other significant events of the Apostolic Patriarchal Visit.
In addition, His Grace emphasised to Father Michael the love and respect that the clergy and laity of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia have towards His Grace Bishop Michael of the Romanian Orthodox Church of Australia.
Bishop Bartholomew then presented Father Michael with an icon of the Dormition of the Theotokos with the prayer that the Mother of God intercedes for him and his family. As well as the icon, Bishop Bartholomew presented a copy of Archbishop Makarios’ book “Lord and Master of my life”.
Father Michael thanked His Grace not only for the gifts but for his love and blessings and extended a kind invitation to the Bishop to visit the Romanian Orthodox Parish of Brisbane. Bishop Bartholomew offered his support and assistance with whatever Father Michael might require in his ministry.
Concluding, His Grace wished on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, a blessed Christmas to Father Michael, his family and his congregation.
