International Theological Conference “Christian Orthodox Theology in the 21st Century” with the participation of the Archbishop of Australia

The Theological School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, under the auspices of the Church of Greece, is organising an Internation Theological Conference, with the title: “Christian Orthodox Theology in the 21st Century” to take place from the 24th to the 28th November 2024.

The opening of the conference will take place in the Great Hall of the University of Athens (main building, 30 Panepistimiou) on Sunday, 24 November 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

The ceremony will be graced by the presence of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou and His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who will deliver the keynote address, entitled: “The mission and work of the Orthodox Church and Theology in the 21st century”.

Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne, including His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, will participate in the Conference with their specific presentations. The Archbishop of Australia’s presentation will be on “Artificial Intelligence and Orthodox Theology” and will be presented on the third day of the Conference (Tuesday, 26 November 2024).
