Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane meets with the State Philoptochos of Queensland

With the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane convened a meeting of the State Philoptohos of Queensland. 

It was the first meeting of the State Philoptochos since His Grace Bishop Bartholomew was elected as the first Bishop of Brisbane.

His Grace from the outset conveyed the love and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and informed the Philoptochos of the upcoming visit of His Eminence to Queensland in December coinciding with the State Youth Conference.

Bishop Bartholomew informed the ladies of the Apostolic Visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Australia this week; a visit which is of great significance and joy for the fifth continent.

Administration matters and future initiatives were then discussed with the group, while His Grace then thanked the ladies on behalf of His Eminence for not only their presence but for all their efforts in the service of the Church.

A commemorative photo was then taken noting that due to circumstances beyond ones control not all ladies were able to attend in person however they attended the meeting via zoom.
