Phanar: Visit of the Delegation of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom

On Tuesday afternoon, 17 September 2024, a delegation of the US Commission for International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) visited the Headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, at the Phanar, and consisted of Commissioners Ms. Vicky Hartzler and Mr. Asif Mahmood, as well as Ms. Susan Bishai and Ms. Molly Blum, Commission officials.

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received the official delegation and had the opportunity to discuss at length issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the members of the Commission were accompanied by Mrs. Molly Rivera-Olds and Mr. Batu Kinayyiğit, officials of the US Consulate General in Constantinople, while was present on behalf of the Mother Church was the Grand Syncellus Archimandrite Iakovos.
