Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to visit Sweden in 2025

The Holy Metropolis of Sweden announces the visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the capital of the Scandinavian county, Stockholm, in August 2025.

As the relevant announcement states:

“The Holy Metropolis of Sweden and all Scandinavia is pleased to inform the flock of the Constantinople Mother Church in the Northern Lands that, God willing, on Sunday, 24 August 2025, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is going to visit, for the third time, the Holy Metropolis of Sweden and all of Scandinavia, specifically the Holy Cathedral of Saint George in Stockholm (Birger Jarlsgatan 92, 11420 Stockholm), to bring us the light of the ever-living Phanar.

Every visit of the Venerable Head of Orthodoxy to Her children scattered around the world is a special opportunity to receive the Patriarchal blessing from up close and to prayerfully implore the Triune God to support Him in His multi-responsible duties as Ecumenical Patriarch.

May the Lord make us worthy to prepare ourselves for the Patriarchal reception, which is a special honour and blessing, while at the same time providing spiritual joy and enrichment”.
