Gathering of Youth in the Diocese of Adelaide

With the blessing of our Father and Chief Shepherd, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, on Sunday the 18th of August 2024, a state-wide gathering of youth took place at the Parish of Saint Demetrios, Salisbury. This gathering was led by His Grace Bishop Silouan of Adelaide and supported by guest speakers from the recent State Youth Conference as well as clergy of the Diocese of Adelaide.

The afternoon began with prayer and some reflections on the topics discussed at the SA State Youth Conference 2024. Following this discussion, a Q&A session occurred where the youth were able to ask questions that followed the theme of the conference ‘We are ready for the future’ as well as other topics.

After the Q&A session, those present were able to enjoy a meal and fellowship.

His Grace Bishop Silouan of Adelaide conveyed the warm wishes and paternal love of our spiritual Father and Archbishop, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia. His Grace also thanked the Parish Priest, Father Michael Psaromatis, the Parish Council and Philoptochos of Saint Dimitrios for their generous hospitality and for hosting the event.
