Bishop Elpidios of Perth celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Albany, WA

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the City of Albany which is in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia, about 400 kilometres south-east of Perth.  

His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Perth presided over the Divine Liturgy and was assisted by Archimandrite Makarios Souris, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of St John in Forrestfield, Perth. 

In His sermon, His Grace spoke about the Feast of the Transfiguration as well as the forthcoming Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God and reminded the faithful the importance of receiving the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. 

In conclusion, His Grace Bishop Elpidios thanked the Uniting Church of Albany for allowing their church to be used for serving the spiritual needs of the small orthodox community in Albany.
