Northcote: The Feast Day of the Holy Spirit at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Footscray

On the Monday of the Holy Spirit, His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Northcote, liturgised at the celebrating Church of the Holy Trinity, in Footscray, which is of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne.

During his sermon, His Grace spoke about, among other things, the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, explaining how the Holy Spirit animates us and gives us strength and illumination, to overcome our concerns and temptations. “The presence of the Holy Spirit, when we believe in it and recognise that he is truly our Intercessor, guides our lives in a sacramental and mysterious way and brings us to spiritual and saving situations”, he underlined.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta conveyed to the congregation the wishes and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
